A well known use of Shepherd's Purse Herb is as a tea which can be helpful for diarrhea, cystitis, menstrual bleeding and cramping. This homemade tea is easy to make and consume as often as times a day. To make shepherd's purse tea, add 1-2 teaspoons to boiling water and steep for 10-15 minutes.
Shepherd's purse also can be used externally in poultices or compresses for cuts, wounds, bruises, bleeding, joint pain, inflammation and sprains.
