The Elder bush comes from the honeysuckle family and has white delicate, flowers that are used to make syrups, teas, soups, elderberry wines, brandy, cordials and St Germain.
Elder flowers are often combined with chamomile and other flowering herbs to make homemade hair and skin care products.
The flowers are often a main ingredient in teas or soothing syrups to help with a dry cough.
There is a mythical legend that says if you fall asleep under a flowering elder bush, could wake up in Fairyland.
